Six hour durational boxing training and blindfolded spar.
Entrain+Entrail is a performative exploration of “training” and what it means to create a training regimen, a practice, and an ethic of performance art. This work-in-perpetual-progress is not an attempt to definitively answer the question of how a performance artist should train, but rather an experiment with how my own body desires and resists its own enskillment. More than an answer, this training performance questions the purpose of training, who is in control of the training process, and to what ends.
This performance took place at UCLA on June 8, 2016
